Headshots vs. Portraits

The headshot session is designed to get the widest range of shots for you to use on your personal brand.All the images are captured from the chest up while I concentrate on coaching you to produce a number of different facial expressions that capture your unique personality. I recommend multiple changes of clothing to give you variety over the course of your sessions. Sessions last anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours entirely based on your needs, the number of looks you’d like photographed and the range of imagery you would like.

For portrait clients, we will go through a variety of looks, lighting and backgrounds. These sessions generally last a minimum of 3 hours and include a wide ranges of images from headshots to full body and everything in between.

Throughout the session, we will review several groups of images and progressively narrow them down to the photographs you wish to keep. Any images that are not selected will be deleted. This process helps us concentrate on the strongest photographs while also serving as a valuable coaching opportunity, allowing us to evaluate what works best and refine future images as we shoot.

At the conclusion of the session, you will choose the final images you would like to purchase from your selected favorites. The price of each image includes unlimited personal-use licensing, professional retouching, and delivery in multiple resolutions suitable for both social media and print. Final images are typically ready within one week of full payment.
